i-doit/openITCOCKPIT Connector
The perfect partnership – Your CMDB and monitoring system
Using our openITCOCKPIT integrated interface for i-doit, it’s quick and easy to transfer an asset from i-doit directly into openITCOCKPIT. It is also possible to setup default assignments so that when transfers are carried out, the necessary standard checks are directly created, too – a real time saver for busy admins.
Advantages of the i-doit/openITCOCKPIT Connector
Freely choose which i-doit objects are included in your openITCOCKPIT monitoring
New i-doit objects can be transferred directly to the openITCOCKPIT authorisation concept
Connect several i-doit systems if desired
Control downtimes via the i-doit maintenance function
Synchronise host notification contacts from within i-doit
Display additional, freely selectable, live information from i-doit
Description of services: i-doit/openITCOCKPIT Connector
With the i-doit/openITCOCKPIT Connector, setting up monitoring with openITCOCKPIT is made significantly easier. Once the user has recorded all CMDBs in the i-doit database, all relevant objects can be exported. By detecting installed software or by classifying CIs, templates are selected and any checks that need to be performed are assigned automatically.
With the latest version of the interface, you can control both host downtimes (server maintenance periods) and host monitoring notification contacts via i-doit. Additional real-time information sent to the hosts can be synchronised in openITCOCKPIT. Users can compile this information themselves in i-doit reports. The reports are then generated live, in real time, and displayed as “additional information” about the hosts in openITCOCKPIT.
If you already have a monitoring solution in place, we can configure i-doit so that it won’t overwrite the hosts you have already set up in your existing system. We can also ensure that no redundant hosts are created. This can easily be done using a freely selectable comparison of hosts between openITCOCKPIT and i-doit. The following options are available: IP only, host names only or IP and host names.
